Wondering if its a good investment. ..Anybody had to use it and if so how easy or hard was it for them to agree to cover repair. I know on the surface they all sound like your saving grace if something happens if you have a costly repair but is the Honda extended warranty worth the cost? Dealer says 4 years coverage for something like $459.00 I believe. Thanks.

 

My advice NO! I haven't had any experience with anything outside of the six month warranty because mine is not old enough yet, but my dealer screwed me by saying the extended warranty was $600 then when the paper work was wrote up it showed it for only $270. He said it was just the way the numbers work out. whatever! It's mainly just a money maker for the salesman selling you the machine. As you can tell that put a sour taste in my mouth about extended warranties. But I hear alot of people saying they don't get them.

 

imo they are a waste of money.....depending on the dealer they will try to do n e thing they can to sell u the warranty then when it comes time to need it they will find n e excuse they can to not honor it


if ur that worried put the 459 or whatever u were gonna pay for the warranty away and just add a few bucks here and there to it incase something would break

 

Thanks for the input. Thats generally the way it seems to happen to cars as well. I think I'll suck it up and go without the warranty. $459 is an installed winch and 4 or 5 tanks of gas!! Going in the morning to pick up the new Ruby..

 

Actually on cars extended warrenties will be life saver. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] On Wheelers I fell into the trap, not worth it.
