Eventually you will lose power as the rings and valves get sanded from the dirt. it will be gradual so you won't be able to tell you have lost power unless you ride a new bike or one that had a good filter.

I use UNI, I personally think the foam filters work the best. But then again, I have never seen a K&N filter with a outerwear prefilter let dirt thru. Whatever you do just keep it clean and oiled at all times.
Twin Air makes a really good high flow foam filter to, I run that on my dirtbikes.

KTM's come with a bunch of goodies stock. I was reading the only thing the XC line needs to be race ready for the woods is bark busters. That's all they could find to complain about, and Im sure once KTM reads that they will put them on to. Kudos to KTM for making nitch filling bikes! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
