Also remember that H.P. on a twin cylinder is different than H.P. rating on a Single cylinder

Example:
50 H.p. Honda 250r (Big Bore) would be more so equal to
70-75 H.p. Banshee

My 330cc big bore is running with stock casting 4mm cubs on gas
just barely.....LOL

And stock cylinder 4mm engine on alky...

 

No, a dyno doesn't care if you have 1 cylinder or 12, HP at the wheels is HP at the wheels. I hope your engine builder didn't tell you that.

WTF? If that was true, ford, chevy, and dodge would do away with v-8 motors, and make a huge 1 cyl motor. A chassis dyno measures the hp a vehicles rear tires put out. End of story. If it measures 75 hp, it's 75hp. The dyno { and the ground for that matter } can't tell the difference between 1 cylinder, 2 cylinders, or 8 cylinders. All the dyno does is measure the hp the vehicles rear wheels put out. There isn't 2 or 3 kinds of horse power. If a 250r has 45 hp, and a banshee has 45 hp, it's the same amount of hp. I tell ya, sometimes the bs gets deep on the honda forum. Lots of blind loyality over here.

Don't know where macanic came up with that. The only blind loyalty is coming from you, like I said earlier I own both Yamaha and Honda. My only loyalty is to Two strokes. Who would win if they both have 45 HP?

 

First off, a 45 hp 250r beats a 45 hp banshee, due to the 250r lighter weight. Second, A 29 hp 250r [stock] gets beat by a 38 hp banshee [stock]. Third, I'm not biased. I like every sport bike there is. In the past, I have owned many atc's, a couple of kawi's {klt kxt}, and more recently a ds650. When I consider buying a bike, I consider what the bike is, not who makes it. Forth, I share your love of 2-strokes, that much we can agree on.

 

I know what i said....And basically what i was trying to say was
banshee are always going to produce more H.P. and slightly less torque
compared to the single cylinders.

My 57 H.P. Honda 330r (76mm piston-72mm stroke)
will run with all the 80 H.P. banshee you bring me and several 90-95 H.P. banshee's

Given that my bike's weight is around the same as a stock chassis banshee
I'm sure i'm producing maybe a little more torque than the banshee. But, not to much more.

 

does anyone know if the duncan paul turner pipes are any good for the 250r?
