i stripped the oil drain plug on my 87 250x and it was already bored to a .5 inch. What can I do ?

 

I guess all you can do is bore and tap it again, as little as posible and be very carefull when tightening.
By the way how did it get striped in the first place? too much torquing or just stripage from use?
I hope you can get it fixed.

 

Just from taking in and out over the years. I couldnt find a tap over .5
