Default Replacing a-arm ball joint on 300

I have a 92 trx300 4x4 and I got a new a-arm ball joint. I was able to get the top part out of the a-arm, but I wasn't able to get the bottom of it, the part where it goes through the steering knuckle and then a nut goes on it. Any ideas on how to get the bottom part out of the steering knuckle.....I know its not thread there b/c I have the replacement and its not threaded where it goes throught the knuckle, just below the knuckly where the nut goes on....Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take a hammer and hit the area that holes the balljoint in. The area that the shaft of the ball joint goers though. The ball joint will then or should fall right out.

For me, same as above but I use a pry bar in one hand to put pressure to seperate the joint, and hit the steel of the steering knuckle with a hammer. The vibrations cause it to fall apart.

Of course, you have to have the castle nut taken off, and by the sounds of it you already unbolted it from the a-arm, so it'll be easier if you bolt it back to the a-arm, seperate it and then unbolt it again.

Thanx, I managed to get it changed, however, I have another problem. There is water into my rear gear oil and I can see where it got in, which is a good thing I guess, but the part is what is gone. The seal on the axle side of it is gone. I called my local shop and tryed to make an appointment, but he said call back mid next week b/c he is book solid. So I guess I won't be goin on with my plans on friday to go four-wheeling.
