Well, I was going to go out and ride today, but when I went outside to start it up, it wouldn't start. I checked the plug, same as always, a tad bit rich, but nothing bad(barely noticeable). I tied my quad up to my friends 300ex to try and pop start it. When, I let out the clutch, the motor would rev a little, maybe up to 2500rpm,(Just an estimate)but then it would die when it slowed down. It wouldn't even move when the motor was revving a little. I know it's not a lot of information, but it's all I noticed. Could someone please help me??????? Thanks.

It doesn't seem to be getting enough of a spark. Yes, the gas was on. How do I check the pepcock? Thanks.

Blaster13...my 400ex did the same exact thing..we pulled it to try and start it and everything..nothing worked. Once we changed the plug...it fired right up. My bike is running a bit rich also. I have been thru 2 plugs in a few months. But...I haven't had the first service on it yet, I've only had my 400 a few months.
Change your plug and see if that won't make a difference.
Good luck!!

It tries to start, but it just won't. It can't really be the jets because I haven't messed around with the carb since I last rode it. I just don't know. Do you think I should just take it to the dealer?

SLB300EX: We seem to be running exactly the same with the plug. I will go out tomorrow and buy a new plug. I really hope the new plug fixes it so I can ride this weekend. Thanks.
