now we let it cool down, to start it back up and see if the problem was not there when the bike was cold, but it wont start. We are starting to think the problem could be in something electrical.

 

we let the quad completely cool off and it started up perfect. The problem comes ones it heats up. All the testing that im doing is at a stand still in neutral because the bike is currently waiting for the rear wheel carrier so it has no rear axle.

The backfiring we are gonna take care we just have to readjust so its not running so lean. But the other problem is driving us crazy. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

well, it sounds like it's running lean at the top end too, that would make it back-fire. double check your carb adjustments. and idle speed.

 

problem solved (finally w00h00!!!!)

we took out the carbeurator and completely cleaned it, and readjusted it. Also another thing we noticed along the way was that since we didnt have it sitting on the back wheels because of the rear carrier we are waiting for, we had it jacked up way to far so the gas tank was leaning foward. So im guessing it wasnt receiving enough fuel because of that and that was part of the problem.
