This past weekend my Uni filter came off of my 400 while I was riding on a motocross track. I don't run an airbox lid and the dust was pretty heavy that day. I think it was off for about 20 mins. of riding. I cleaned my carb boot and carb out and found dust inside there. It was a layer of dust not sand. I took the carb off and the intake and found no dust on that side of the carb or in the intake of the motor. What else can I do to prevent further problems? How would I know if the motor has suffered any damage? It cranks right up and doesn't seem to be knocking. Thanks for any help.

If it did any real damage, your EX would be burning a little oil now, and you'd see a little smoke coming out the tailpipe. I wouldn't worry about it too much, sounds like you lucked out. If it's running fine, don't worry about it. Just don't let it happen too often, or you'll be putting a new piston and rings before too long.

if any thing change your oil + filter immediately, if anything, your oil did its job and sent this bad stuff to the oil filter.

You're dumb. Why would anyone buy a UNI product? They suck. What's wrong with the stock one? It's one of the best filters out there.
