fcr 39mm carb help
My FCR has no choke either, but I just hit the throttle twice, and then start the bike. It will start then shut off then I do it again. The bike then starts and stays on. YOu should still be able to use your FCR in the winter.. Just get it jetted right. I bought mine from Curtis Sparks, and it was jetted right. I was lucky.

me again
you ppl are all right about the fcr being able to start in winter because of the accelerator pump BUT, i'm not talking of -10 degrees here. I'm in canada so here its more like -40 degrees. I know that my quad wont start well at -20 degrees or more,so thats why i'll just put on my stock carb. Last winter i went to see an atv competition on ice with my quad......everything was nice but, after 2 hours my quad had cooled down alot so when i decided to come back home after the show, meh.....it took me about 15 min to start it ,and everybody was looking at me like if they where saying PUT THE CHOKE PUT THE CHOKE !!
annyway, for now its the least important, cause i just burned my whole main harness because of a shorcut with my bombardier switch (damn bombardier )
Thats all!
bye

put a 50 pilot in it start and warm the motor up and then set the idle to 1800 rpm and turn thr fuel screw until you get the highest rpm then set the idle back down and go for a ride and if you still have problems you will have to go to a smaller bypass jet for your acel pump I went from a 72 to a 50 on mine and it real made a difference And starts when cold ALOT easier
