carbon fiber frame? how do you think it will work? would it be lighter and stronger? would it work? let me know what you think

 

of course carbon fiber is always stronger and lighter. what do you mean are you trying to make one or buy one? yes it will work. but it will cost you a very ver pretty pennie

Well lets see, a ti frame costs around 5k-7k so figure carbon fibre hitting at least 10k if not a whole lot more.

Edit: you think a stock car is expensive, try an F1 car. Carbon fibre/kevlar everything.

 

Carbon fiber anything is very expensive. You know what they say about the price, if you have to ask, you can't afford it.

 

Carbon fiber is strong, almost to strong. Hit something with a steel frame, and it will dent or bend. Hit something with carbon fiber and it will crack. Hit something agin, and your crashing big time!! Ever see a F1 car crash? Compare that to a stock car!! A friend of mine has some carbon fiber body pieces on his 450R that he races XC. He has yet to finish a race without cracking them. Once their cracked, their done!

 

honeing(sp?) one outa diamonds would be cheaper!!!

 

who would even want one? I saw a guy snap them on a road bike. Don't get me wrong, they are strong but when they break they take everything down with it.
