TRX250EX Sport Clutch ???
#1
Do any of you have any experience with this new clutch configuration? A centrifugal clutch that can be disengaged by the hand lever sounds to me like a problematic situation.
Does anybody have one of these things with a fair amount of usage? How is it holding up? Can you, in reality, "pop" the clutch with the hand lever like a "real" clutch?

There are a few companies that make a product to convert manual clutch to basically the same thing as the Honda sportclutch. Rekluse is probably the most popular. These have been fairly durable, although the general consensus is that you will burn through clutch plates faster. I'm not sure if Honda's design will have that same characteristic, but the 250EX doesn't put out a ton of power and that should minimize wear and tear. In short, yes it will most likely need replacement sooner than a similar 250EX w/o the sportclutch, but I doubt it will be very problematic.
Yes, you can use it just like any other man. clutch bike/quad, or just shift w/o like the earlier 250EX.
