Default Is it out of time???????

I'm totally stumped on tryin to jet my 350x right. I've tried a 138, 145, and a 152 main and a 40 and a 42 pilot jet......still the same freakin problem. When I rev it up from idle to 3/4 throttle it wants to bog and backfire really bad. Could my timing be way way off or is it still the jetting?????? I'm just **** out of ideas so any help would be awesome. Thanks a lot. Later.

oh yeah, it could be timing. did you just do engine work to it?? if so, double check that timing, Static timing and ignition timing.

it's not too likely that's what it is, unless you did engine work. If you just added a muffler or something that required you to rejet, then the timing is probably ok, and i would check the fuel flow and make sure it's not restricted.

another thing, the main jet really only has an effect on 3/4 to wide open throttle, its the needle jet that controls like 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. mess with the clip position on the needle, try the middle slot, one up, one down, and stuff and see if it changes.

the pilot jet only affects idle to about 1/8 throttle. as long as it idles right that shouldnt be much of a problem

Yes it did before I put it back in time, now I've got even bigger problems. Now ever since i put it back in time it acts like the clutch is slipping really bad, I mean I can be in first and it will act like it will rev out all the way and when i shift gears it stays in the same rpm range and doesn't catch. Is this something wrong internally because all I can think of that I messed with could be the valves. Could valves bein out of adjustment cause that? Also I was thinking since its exactly in time now that the cam i put in and the 10.5:1 wiseco are putting too much power out for the clutch to handle? Just a thought, let me know what you think. Thx a lot. Later.
