ES not work in the cold?

Default ES not work in the cold?

Well, since we got some snow yesteryday, i went out to play with my 05 ranches es...

the es wasnt shifting out of neutral for a second.. up or down.. then i turned the key off and on.. it still didnt work.. then i turned it off and on and it finalyl worked..

waht happened?

will the es brake down in future cold rides?

There are a lot of posts on the possible cause of thi sproblem. Start with the condition of your battery and go from there. The service manual will direct you through the triage.

If youre still running 10w 40, a switch to 10w 30 might make it shift easier.
How long has it been since the clutch was adjusted?
And i agree with starting on the battery first. If its in doubt, have it load tested.

well.. i got the quad two months ago.. since riding it again today real quick.. the shifter didnt have problems..

maby oil?

when changing.. do i need to empty it all out?

I had a similar problem on my olr 450ES. The problem turned out to be an occasional sticking shifter button on the handlebars.

never had anyproblems but sometimes they stick and just have to be flushed with water...other times you just have to turn it off and on. very very minor
