maintance on 450r 2006

Default maintance on 450r 2006

I dont see the problem changing more frequently if all it is is a quart.My Ds takes 4.

there really isnt a problem. i was just citing the honda manual on it, some else said it was wrong and to change it every 3-4 hrs. thats where the dispute came from. i think every 3-4hrs is excessive, not lazy- but no more effective nor effficient either, and is not documented enough... but if someone wants to do that, that's fine.

yeah, my old 350 warrior was about 4 quarts too. my truck only holds 5.5! something how a 350cc engine holds about 65-75% of the same volumne of oil as that.

Default maintance on 450r 2006

I went on the thumperfaq and they said there is nothing wrong with using Mobil 1 super syn (Red Cap) 15w-50 i ran this in my 400ex i was thinking about using this on my engine side of my 450r and the honda trans oil on the other. Any thoughts

On the engine side it should be fine, it is the tranny side where you need to run a motorcycle specific oil because of the clutches.
