Here here! My Point Exactly! Minimum wage is NOT an issue, I looked in the paper here locally, and NO ONE starts at minimum wage, companies COMPETE for employee's so if you think the minimum wage thing is an issue, you deserve to lose your riding areas.
As for Social Security. HELLO! With today's stock market, higher paying jobs, pension plans, 401(k) plans, if you are relying on Social Security to retire, well, I pity you. The social security system was a PATCH! Not a long term solution, especially now. The average american has 45 to 50 years of his/her life to work. If you can't invest in your future, sell your quad and invest it now, or you will not have a secure financial future.
Gun Rights. It was important enough to be an Amendment to our Constitution. You know the framework of America. Look at Australia and England, they took the guns away from the general populace, and the criminals took everything else.
Family Values - Bush cares enough to HIDE a blemish in his past for the sake of his children......Al and Tipper Gore just CENSOR everything.
The Internet: Well if it wasn't for Al Gore, we couldn't be having this discussion right now. NOT!
Big Government: Obviously Al Gore is for this. I don't know about you, but I am Proud to be an American, and being a member of some "Global Population" doesn't excite me in the least. Or maybe you don't mind the sound of President Hussien.
Taxes: Absolutely NO President can solely lower taxes, Either Gore or Bush. Congress decides that, and this really can't be an issue either. Two things are certian it is said, Death and Taxes.
Oh wait, one last thing. Clinton/Gore didn't help BOOM the economy. The Internet did. I don't care who was President from 1992 to 2000, The Internet didn't need any help from Congress, or a President to boost the Global economy. My Job came from the Internet, Al Gore didn't call me up and say, "Hey Chris, how would you like to be a Sr. Systems Engineer?" (For the record Bush didn't either, but the democrats can't take credit for growing the economy, three letters explain it WWW )
Vote Bush, and if your in New York, VOTE Lazio, not Hillary Clinton. (Another Enviro Freak)

BigCrashChris,
I commend you, very well spoken. I couldnt have said it better myself. Im voting Bush because I have morals and for the past 8 years all i could do was shake my head with shame. Clinton is a sell out and Gore stands behind that #@%hole.
My question is why are these poeple so pissed off at the rich? dont they realize that if it wreent for rich people there wouldnt be jobs. where do they think they get their paychecks from. They also believe that rich people dont have to work to keep that money. well there wrong, the rich are some of the hardest workers Ive seen. And they will always be happy to tell you how to get there.
If people make min. wage thats their falt. not the rich.

Gore wants to register guns.
In 1938 Germany registered guns. Something to think about. As far as dealing with criminals everyone knows Texas is king of captial punishment. Back in the 80's Gore voted against gun control, he also mined zinc on his family's own land. So what he is for guns & mining, or against? Depends when you ask him I guess...
His wife wants to censor more music & movies!!!
I'm so tired of this civil rights & womens rights crap. Look, no-one should be dicriminated agaisnt, but no-one should just be givin something either. Al Gore speaking in Chicago with Jesse Jackson standing behind him & applauding was enough to make anyone sick!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, read the facts, Gore was far from the vietnam hero he thinks he was. My dad didn't have it that easy over there.
I was all geared up for John McCain, but "Dubya" will work too I guess. The polls say Gore is getting about 50% of the vote. That means 1/2 of the people in this country are morons! Scary!
Hear the latest? Gore's pals were handing out packs of cigerettes to homeless people in WI, trying to get them to vote. Also, the NAACP wants prisoners to have the right to vote (Democrat of course). This is getting crazy!!!!!!
Voting Gore is like shooting off your own foot!

Andrew, I couldnt have said it better myself. My dad was also over there but never will admit it as he had it real easy at 40,000 feet above it all in a F-104. Compaired to the ground troops were agenst his job was easy. ( I took him on the worlds fastest roller coaster in vegas and he just yawned and was bored! )

jboz, lots of Forum readers interpret everything literally, as you discover. Thus, jokes and humor employing satire, parody, and irony often fail.
How do I know this? I've experienced this "failure to communicate" (q.v., "Cool Hand Luke") myself. My obvious (to me) send-ups, caricatures, and exaggerations have been routinely misinterpreted, offending when no offense was intended. Explaining doesn't help; when the offended party realizes you've been "funnin'" him, he becomes even more furious.
Should we stop trying? Nah! There was a saying in the Service about those who couldn't take a joke, but I forget how it goes.
