Whats your point. I said trx 250r weighed 328 lbs. When did I say trx was lighter than lt250?????
i just wanted to give as acurate info as possible to the person that started the thread. the point is they are light, balanced, handle well, are reasonably fast stock, definitely when modded. i like mine alot.
Yep.....A stock banshee. How does that "all out modded R" do against an "all out modded" banshee in a drag, considering a banshee can make 80 hp on pump gas with just pipes, 33 mm carbs, a 4mm stroker crank, and cheeta cub, or T-rex cylinders.
the modded R still weighs a good 40lbs less weight in this hypothetical race propsed here; i'd love to see that race. the power to weight ratios are pretty close...but the costs to get an R to outrun a modded banshee....you know the saying, how fast you want to go depends on how much you are willing to spend...its not worth it to me for braggin rights, you know?
plus, there's just so far you can take an R when modding it ...ultimately the banshee will be modded to a point where the maxxed out, modded R cant overcome... interesting, yet annoying situation, huh?

Well you could always drop a cr 500 motor in that trx frame. He he. I like to ride that. The weight #"s I got are from a 6 month old or so dirt wheels. It was a reprinted article from 86. It was the original shoot out 86 trx250r vs 86 lt250r. The article claimed dry weights of trx-328, lt-293. Thats where I got those figures. Also, 10mm strokers on alky can put out well over 100hp. Like you say, it all comes down to who spends the most money.
