We have a 250EX and it is a great bike. Fun in the trails, easy to wheely and a good all around quad. Not the fastest thing out there but definately fun to ride. Depending on your size you might think about the 300EX or Raptor 350.. Good luck...

Solid dependable fun machine. It is an entry level machine so it has it's limitations, but within those it does great.

It will last for several years as long as you maintenance it, and you should be able to beat his 110. It is a great trail quad and as said before bullet proof.

my cousin has a couple of these, they are fun in the trails and we have beat on m for a few years and no problems at all. one thing though, if you p[lan on ripping across the dunes or down the beach, there really isnt a top speed to speak of, its geared so low that I can pull top of 5th in pretty much any situation but it isnt really that fast when topped. I am 5-9 165, I dont feel big on it, your a bit taller than me but you dont have as much weight so I think youd fit on it fine. and being a little guy youcan throw that thing around like no other. one other thing is I really wish it had just a bit more travel. but you could ride wheelies in 2nd or 3rd all day long on this machine. all in all I think it would be a lot of fun for your first quad. just when someone says you wanna ride my raptor, wana ride my banshe, wanna ride my 400, say no, otherwise youll not like stepping back onto the 250. I rodea built 300(330) then went to my cousins and rode the 250's again and thw whole time I was just wishing I was back on that 300. but Im one of those people when nothing is ever fast enough, but then again who isnt.

I was reading about the 06 250 and so it is a auto and not a manuel? I like switching through gears. So is it a automatic or a manuel?

actually, i just bought the 06 250 for my wife so i can help you out here. the sportshift lets you shift without using the clutch if you want. this is the whole reason i bought it for my wife because she can't use a clutch......yet. however, you can opt to shift the way the gods intended (with the clutch) if you want. it is not an automatic at all.
