Default Slip on Exhaust

Hey I have a few questions about slip on exhausts. I was wondering what is the best slip on exhaust? When you get a slip on do you have to re-jet or not? Does the slip-on increase power and make your atv loud or does it stay the same aas far as loudness? O yea my quad is a 2002 honda 400ex Thanks

Best slip on? Take a pick, HMF, Yoshi, FMF, etc. Depends on what you want out of a slip on?

Do you have to re-jet? IMO if your going to do a slip on you might as well up grade the intake too. If you do that, yes re-jet.

Does a slip on make more power? It can make top end power, middle end power, or bottom end power. It depends on what slip on you go with.

Does it make it louder. Yes for the most part.

Hope that helped ya a little.

you wont see much gain if any at all with a slip on and filter on the 400 or even a full header and muffler kit for that matter. dont mod the 400 unless you are goin all out with bigger valves, oversized piston, port work, etc... 2-3 hp isnt worth $500 to me. id rather spend $1200 and get more like 20hp.
