I have an 01 Rancher ES 4x4.......4,000 trouble free miles.....shifts great.....I like the ES so I can wear my heavy pac boots when riding in the snow.
I also have put 12,500 miles on yamaha autos with no belt troubles at all......I put a new belt on at 5,000 miles just to be safe though.

Shift a real four wheeler eh? Do you shift a real car, or is the automatic trannys not real? Your a retard. I never bashed manual atvs, in fact there is something alltogether sweet about popping a clutch on a sort quad. But when I get into a deep deep mud hole I like to be able to punch it and not fiddel with gears. And do they make a brute force 750i with a semi auto or manual clutch? No I didn't think so. So take your little tonka toy and go play in the dunes while the big boys handel the real riding.

Two different worlds buddy. A auto trans on a car still has a gear box and wet clutch, not a big fat power robbing cvt rubber band! Ive ridden all these so called "manly" 700cc+ ute quads and havent been impressed with any of them. Maybe when the manufacturers start putting a wet clutch on these quads they will start to put out the power that a 750 should make!
