I need to reset the ecm on one of my rancher that I switched from another one. It has a recall but I would like to reset it tonight before I take it to the dealer, thanks.

 

There is an initialization procedure that need to be done when you install a new ECM on your machine. The atv will still run and drive, but not all the sensors are synced to the ECM. Its a pretty lengthy procedure to describe here, but it only takes about a minute to actually do it. If your taking it in for the ECM recall, the initialization is part of the recall. If your not taking it in for the recall, have them initalize it for you. Don't know about your dealer, but we wouldn't charge a customer for it because like I said it take only about a minute.
