Rancher rear axle removal

i have an '01 Rancher and this winter i snapped the axle off. i was wondering if anyone knew how to easily remove the axle?

Rancher rear axle removal

A friend of mine pulled his. Wasn't to bad. All three of us worked on it like a pit crew. It was a while ago can't really remember how we did it. You do need a puller though
