A good day.

Today was a really good day. I have been on crutches for the past 3 or four weeks , which has really been a crappy time. I figured I would tare down the ATC 110 during this time. Parts would slowly trickle in and when I had the energy to carry stuff down into the basement and hobble back and fourth to the barn to get my tools and work on it. Well tonight I decided I was sick of the crutches and tried to walk...to my amazement I can get around pretty well without them now. So I went the basement and started to put it back together. I ended up painting some stuff, got new tires, got some HD clutch springs in it and a bunch of other little stuff. I got the engine back in the frame and the axle back in and basically everything but the fork, tank, plastic, and tires. This was going to be the worst part of the whole deal, I had to carry it up the stairs with my still broken ankle....it wasn't bad. After that I put the rest of it together, blew up the tires, added gas and oil and it fired right up. I still didn't get my headlight bulb so I just grabbed the mag light and took off. It was awesome! the new clutch springs made a huge difference. It used to just slip if you were really putting a strain on it but now it just carries the front tire. I also got new brake pads for it (something it didn't have) it was so nice to just tap the peddle and lock the tires right up. So like I said today was a good day.
By the way, I know this probably sounds ridiculous to most people...(atc110...pff sissy trike) but I just have an enjoyment for all types of ATC's and ATV's. I used to have a 250R which was fast and all and fun if you had the place to ride it but here on the farm the ATC 110 is just perfect.
