Well I am a tech and have been for 10years now. I have rebuiilt more motor casue of K&N filters than stock FOAM fitlers. So my vote is for FOAM!

Now there is a place for K&N's that that being racing were the guy is taking it home and cleaning and oiling after a night of racing.
