Whats up guys,maybe someone can answer a question for me,that has a 424.... I just got done putting it in my 05 rancher and it seems to be working great but,the question i have is it locks into 4x2 but is it suppose to lock into 4x4"click" Its working..when i pull it to put it in 4x2 it click,but when i push the botton to release it to 4x4 it dont click in,but the 4x4 works..Any help would be great....Thanks

 

No...it locks in the out position only.

 

Agree with ddrumman. It only locks or "clicks" when pulled out to 2WD operation. Anything less than fully extended and locked is 4WD.
