Ok I have a big problem with my 01 rubicon. I put it in gear and press the gas and it dosent move. It just revs and makes a kind of grinding noise like something is not catching. It does this in drive, reverse, and low. What could this be? What do I need to check first? Thanks...

 

you should sell it to me cause your HFT unit and oil pump are bad. Low oil pressure won't have enough pressure for the HFT unit to turn that's the grinding noise your hearing. HFT are 1400 bucks oi pump is 200. possible wrist pin scored. crank 200 piston rings 150 gaskets 50 to 100.

Ok I finally fixed it. The oil pump drive chain stretched out too much and came off. I replaced the chain and now it works great.

 

WOW never heard of that before but is possible. Did you check your oil pressure on it.? 60psi at idle and 150 at 5000
