How can you make the new trx 90 faster with out adding on to the engine. (like pipes,air filters ect.)

 

Sorry to say but your pretty much stuck with what you got. Sure you can throw money into a pipe and a filter but your really not gonna gain much out of that, not enough to justify the cost imo.

 

A trx90 isn't meant to be fast. If you need more power and more speed, it's time to step up to like a 250ex

 

I Have a 2005 450r I just bought the 90 so i can screw around im my yard because i can only get into second gear in my yard with my 450 I only have one acre, and i have a crf 50 that has a 88cc kit in it and a "5" inch fork and Rear shock and it flys. I just talked to a guy today that told me how to make it faster with out adding any thing to the engine. I guess you have to snip a pink wire comming out of the engine case and it it is the 4th gear speed restrictor and he said it makes it go alot faster. And last night i ordered a big gun exhaust and a k&n air filter.

You definetly need to cut the pink wire or remove it from the electrical connector so that it can be reconnected later(if need be). I took the air box lid off and dropped the rear sprocket 2 teeth and it made it a lot quicker with very little loss to low end. Hope this helps.

 

would a 1994 have the same wire

 

i sniped the pink wire on mine and took my air box lid off and it ran a whole lot faster i got a big gun exhaust coming in a day or two so hopefully that will help to. Thanks for that advise you put on there.
