I know this topic has been asked about a 1,000,000,000 times. but i was wondering if anyone has any links to the tests and trials for the exhausts on the 06 model yet. or if anyone knows when they will be testing to see which fits the new motor the best. thanks for any other help anyone can give me. just picked it up Friday, freakin awesome machine.

You get a new header and baffle for your stock pipe in the HRC kit along with a bunch of other go-fast goodies all for around $375. The cost of a slip-on. This will up your performance more then a pipe alone and it comes with all carb upgrades so there is no guesswork on the jetting. Plus, with this set up the exhaust is still somewhat quiet but very nonrestrictive. Here in Cali we are limited to 96 decipals in many riding areas. Even though it sounds louder then 96 it is quiet enough to slide by.

If he gets the cam he will also need the bipass harness (not yet available separately) that raises the rev limiter 1000 RPMs otherwise he will be bumping into it regularly. Or he can spend $400 on a new CDI box. Lets see....cam and CDI = $600 + pipe ($$$?)= way too much for the small difference in power.
Not trying to argue, just pointing out the virtues of the kit as I would like others to enlighten me if I were lookin.

the HRC kit can be bought on eBay for way less than $375
The 06 kit is different and they won't interchange. On the average, the 06 kit runs $85 more then the 04/05 kit. If they are for an 06 that its a smokin deal

So you're saying that the harness that comes with the HRC kit just eliminates the green wire connection? That's it?
If that's the case, then it sounds like the way to go is to get the HotCams Stage 2 cam, cut the green wire to the CDI and then add a full exhaust. Is this what you have personally done?
