Default 424 kit on a 2005 rancher

I was wanting to know everthing about putting the warn 424 kit in a 2005 honda rancher. I was wanting to know if the whole stock driveshaft comes out or or does the 424 kit insert in to a part of the shaft and the front differential. Any tips or how to's will be appreciated.

Thanks alot,
Todd Hamilton

The complete front drive shaft comes out. The instructions that come with the unit are pretty good but it helps to have a second person to hold the front differential back so you can remove the stock shaft and insert the 424. It can be done with one person because I did it and I'm 53 years old! I used a strip of 3/4 plywood as a pry bar to hold the front diff. back while I installed the unit.

It's a great investment and makes the Rancher a lot more fun to drive while in 2wd.
