I've had similar issues with my 300. It didn't get run much since I stopped plowing snow in the spring. Then it would only start sometimes and sometimes it wouldn't restart. Sounds simple but I fixed mine by draining the carb, getting fresh gas and adding stabil to my gas can. I think gas today goes bad very quickly, less than a month, and am not so sure some dealers may not even add water or maybe the oil companies are using up old reserves (while prices are up). Anyhow mines been starting and running good ever since. Alot cheaper to check than all the electrical components.

 

Mine isn'[t getting a spark pretty much. i looked at the plug while it was grounded no spark with the stock cdi but with the after market it will get sparks then when you stop turning it over no sparks when you try it agian.

 

well the only things that could be left is the stator in my opinion.
