The test between the 2 of them is in the new dirtwheels, the 300ex well 330ex just tore the 400ex apart, it had way more power.

i personnaly don't like the test results they have in the mags. i used to pay attention to them but i just stopped cause their never accurate in my opinion. they could have 2 really good riders, but one of thems alot lighter or heavier and has better skills. i'm not saying its wrong, but it you could have the best quad but have crappie skills, and be beat by someone with a crappie quad and awesoom skills.

 

I know that I will get torn apart for saying this, but...I have a 300ex that is bored and stroked to a 352. This has just killed any 400ex I have raced, even some slightly modified(pipe, piston etc.) 400ex's. And before anybody says it..I know that i've put way too much money into my 300ex. I have a Kawasaki Tecate 4 that will badly spank either my 352ex, or any 400ex. Ok, tell me how stupid I am...LOL

 

I'd hope that kawie smokes those hondas in a drag race, but take that tecate against a 400 in the woods and see who wins. If I remember correctly those Tecates weren't exactly the best handling thing on 4 wheels.

 

i hate when someone asks me"why dont you just get a 400ex instead of putting all that money into my 300ex" that question pisses me off. I enjoy building my own engines, if i wanted a 400 i would buy one today. So personally i dont think your stupid for building yours up to a 352ex, and if you want to spend 5,000 dollars more on it, go for it. I wish that issue of dirtwheels would hurry up and get here, i cant wait to see that one,finally an atv mag with a 300ex in it. I didnt think that would happen again!

 

I just put a 330 kit in my 300, but have not had a chance too ride it yet.
I have a complete TC Racing motor, and all of the facts and figures I have gotten from Tom estimate the rwHP of my machine too be around 35(has not been dynoed). If this is true, I have no doubt that a 330EX can spank a 400EX.

How much HP does a 416, 426, or 440 kit for a 400EX put out?

(The TC405 engine from TC puts down 55rwHP....yikes!!!)

 

I really don't care how much you decide to spend on your ride either if that's what you want to do! I remember a few years ago a guy won the Adelanto Grand Prix on a 300EX. Yes, it was EXTREMELY modified, but it kicked butt on everything there! Some people laughed at the start of the race, all the guys standing up ready to kick start and this guy just sitting there holding the clutch lever in with his thumb on the start button, then he just smoked them! We were all jabbing each other and pointing and saying what the hell is that?
By the way, this machine was bored and stroked to a 425! From a 300! Amazing.

 

Yea but the 400ex should be wasting it not getting tore up by the 330ex, it has 70cc's on it.................now doesnt that sound familiar?

 

The 330 should beat the 400. If you put that much money into both quads what would the results be the same?
