what is involved in rejetting when a new exaust is put on a quad? Any help whould be great thanks!!

 

It will depend on the quad and the pipe. With all pipe installations you will need to go bigger on the main jet. Sometimes you will need to come out a little on the air/fuel mixture screw and maybe even raise the needle jet. Again, it all depends.

 

yeah I have a 87 250x and wanted to get a cobra pipe but it said I would have to rejet .. Althow I could not find a jet kit for my quad. I have no clue what I would have to do

 

You don't have to have a jet kit. I don't know much about a 250X but I've heard it was a lot like the 300EX. If it is then most likely it uses Keihin hex style main jets. You can pick them up almost anywhere.
