wheel alignment
#1
I have a new Rancher 400. The right front wheel is toed out a little and this causes the thing to pull right. I will drop it off to be fixed because it is new but I thought I would ask and see if the adjustment is as easy as it looks like it is. I could save some time and a trip to the dealer if I just do it.
Is there any reason it would be like this? Should I adjust it myself?
Thanks
Charlie

Wheel alignment procedure is described in the routine maintenance part of the service manual, and might also be in the owner's manual as well. If you don't have an alignment gauge, you can make-shift one by c-clamping two builder's squares together.
Four wheel drive Hondas generally specify quite a bit of toe-out (an inch and three sixteenths for Foremans, as measured at tread surface), so you will likely be able to see that they are toed out slightly when they are within spec.
If it is out of spec and/or if one wheel is towed out with the wheel straight ahead, you likely bent a tie rod- which probably won't be covered under warranty.

Thanks for the help. The Honda is new and it must have been like that as far as I know because I have only put 10 minutes of flat trail on it.
Now that you mention toe out, I bet the toe out is correct and the steering is just off center. Does that make sence? Is this possible?
Thanks agian.
