On my 02 Rubicon the Rear Brakes hardly do anything at all

Theres no water in the drum

The Brakes look like new

What the heck is wrong with them?

I do have steel rims and titan 589's but that shouldnt make much of a difference should it?

I've driven a buddys Rubicon thats identical to mine and his rear brakes work awesome

What Gives?

 

maybe your pistons are sezed

sounds to me like you need to adjust them. on the back nect to the drum brake you will see two wing nuts. turn them in a few times and see if that helps. the top one if for the hand lever brake then bottem if for the foot lever. good luck.
mine were getting realy loose too. this fixed it.
