Default Warn 424 On Rancher

Anyone know if the Warn 424 voids the factory warranty on a Rancer ES?

it wont void the ENTIRE warranty, it would only void the parts/systems that the new driveshaft affects. The warranty would be void on the old drive shaft and possibly the seals on each end. If in doubt, talk to a dealer, or just wait until your warranty expires.

it's pretty easy. first step- clean around the front drive shaft and around the front diff area, that way no dirt or anything gets into places it's not supposed to be.

then you take the left front wheel off, take the inner plastic fender liner out, un bolt the front diff from the frame and just slide it forward so the drive shaft disengages from the front of the engine enough to swing it away from the engine, then give the shaft a few tugs and it should pop out of the front diff with only moderate force. Then just put the new shaft assembly in, be sure to put some moly-grease on the splines. you can either pick the grease off the old shaft splines or just buy some from a parts store. then route the cable up and out where you want it, mount the little holding strap to keep the locker housing from turning, then reassemble. Took me about 2hrs by myself to do it.

Your warranty is only 6 months anyway, so who cares??? Unless you have an extended warranty, which may be a good idea if you have an ES!
