I have a 2000 Rancher 4x4. I'm wondering how many miles you other Rancher riders get out of a tank of fuel. I realize that there are many conditions that can change this from tank to tank, like speed, trail conditions, 4 wheel drive or 2 wheeling, but just trying to get an idea.

On my last outing I was able to go an easy 53 miles on my 2005 350 es 4x4 without hitting reserve. Wether or not thats good I have no idea (first ride that long), but I was probably averaging 30 MPH on the trails trying to stay with two Warriors.

 

I have a 05 Foreman and I get 63 miles to 3/4 tank, I have never ran further or lower. I ride in the thin Mountain air, I don't know if that helps or hurts.

 

Wel i took some extra gass with me one time and rode my 04 400 at till i hit resurve.
at 118 mile it started acting funny, and at 124 i had to use resurve. the driving i do is up hills and down. in alot of slow mountain country i also livce at 7000 feet here in AZ some of my trails will take me up to 9500 and down to 4000 all in one trail.
i also usualy have my wife and kid on the quad also. and an ice chest up front with the 223 wssm for varments. :-)

so now you know what i get. i have doen this with all gear and with out and onl;y been off by 6 miles. so it's rather good.
but you may driver faster or slower get on the gas harder or slower... so you never know...
get and extra can, tie it you the rear rack and go for a drive dill she dies. then you'll know.

I am not sure about distance but I can ride on trails for 4 to 5 hours with only using 1/4 of a tank. I ride all the time and I don't think either of my quads have ever been below a half tank

 

well i have a 05 es 4x4 and ive gotten say 50 miles or so with 3/4 or more of the tank left..a seems good to me this was in trails in pa, which had everthing from mud to icy river crossings to normal trials and also hillclimbs that were big. and i in that 50 or so miles also i hit my top speed a few tyimes.. two or three times which was 56mph with eeveryitng stock on the gagues.. I might have had somone on the back but i duno.. also when i hit that topspeed my quad was wheignded down ALOT.. This was in the winter when it was about 20 degrees in pa. So when we hit water or mud we woudl break the ice and then it woudl immediatly freeze on the quad.. i guess i had 50lbs or more of ice on the quads.. it was horrendous.. looked crazy.. but anyways so i guess i should be able to get a better top speed around 60mph on the dirt road.

 

I loved until the recalled tie rod broke at 25-30 mph, I am recovering from all my bruises and waiting to here from Honda, hey but other than that it has been great, I mostly trial ride the mountains.
