Default need t know what a wire is for on rubicon

i had a anti freeze leak, i got underneath the front of bike and looked around and at the bottom of the front of the engine and saw a wire with a rubber boot that was unplugged frorom the front of the bottom part of the engine i plugged it back in but i need to know what its for , can antone help.

Is it the one on the front lower part of the oil tank? I believe that is the oil temp sensor. I will have to double check the manual to be 100% sure. Someone will let me know if I'm wrong.
