Default Foreman ES Toughness

My friend has a 2001 Foreman 450 and has done virtually no maintenance in the machine since he purchased the machine. He recently sunk it in some water and had water all through the oil. Thing still ran mint even though it was full of water. We finally go him to change the oil but not the filter or air filter. Either way the thing is beat proof. Not much for speed but as far as a longevity it will far out last my polaris.

My 99 450ES is built like a tractor and still runs as good as the day I bought it new. They don't build them this well made anymore.

A friend inherited an old Honda 300 utility, with an orange grove that he bought. I dedcided to do an oil change for him, and the oil looked more like chocolate syrup than oil. Obviously, had not been changed in years! The quad is still running strong though!

reconranger, if there is a quad tougher and more reliable than the 450 it has to be the 300.

If you guys all think your quads run good with no maintenance, just think how good they will run with fresh oil!!! Sure theses are all tough machines and they will run forever but oil is the lifeblood of any engine. Do the regualr maintenance and it will run better forever. Just my 2 cents.
