Some good oil info: http://www.thumperfaq.com/oil.htm
Yamalube is comparable to Honda oils, and it is beefed up with synthetic additives. It bothers me however that both Yamaha and Honda oils are now SJ, and no longer SG (a downgrade).
I think you want to use a lithium based grease???

why is SJ a downgrade from SG? I thought as the grades went up, the quality of the oil and additives got better?

Red the article: http://www.thumperfaq.com/oil.htm
API SG is the last time oil had descent amounts of high pressure additives. These have been removed from later oils, because they will poison a catalytic converter. Why Honda and Yamaha didn't stick with SG, is beyond comprehension!
The absolutely best oil I have found is Maxima Extra, and ester synthetic! http://www.maximausa.com/products/4s...synthextra.asp
