Default will 4x2 rancher pull bearclaws

Ive got a stock 2004 rancher es 4x2.Im wanting new tires for the rear.I ride mostly hard pack with a little mud.Maybe a foot deep at most. The factory tires arent cutting it.The factory rear tires measure 25x11x10.Not too many 10 inch tires to choose from.Ive narrowed it down to 25x11x10 mudlites or 25x12.5x10 bearclaws.I know from experience what the mudlites can and wont do and I think the bearclaws are for me.My question is will the rancher pull the extra 1.5 inches of tire over stock? What about the extra weight of these tires? Will the factory rear rims work with this wide a tire? Thanks.Scott

The 2wd Rancher is geared higher than the 4wd, so that right there doesn't help your situation. And, the stock rims are heavy steel ones, another strike against you.

What I did was replace the rims with some light ITP alloy ones, and I went with Holeshot ATR tires. The Radial tires, turned it into a whole new machine! Vented the airbox, UNI air filter, and added an FMF Megamax Muffler for some extra power.
