Default 2007 Rancher Changes!

http://www.hondanews.com/CatID7507?m...66018&mime=JPG

The Rancher (both the 350 and the 400 AT) and 300EX are not listed as carry-over models for 2007. This means that we can expect big changes in these models for 07. Anybody want to do some speculation???

I am seeing close-out pricing on 06 Ranchers, at Chapparal (like $1,000 discounts). Do they know something we don't, so they are trying to clear out old stock? Almost bought one the other day, but now I'll wait to see what the 07's have to offer. If I don't like the 07, I should be able to get a really great deal on an old model 06.

I would like to see: The 350 engine dropped, and everything gets upgraded to the 400 engine. You can select your transmission preference, foot shift manual, ES, or AT. Trax-Lok selectable 2wd/4wd. Disc brakes.

Last year just before Honda announced the new Rincon I saw them advertised at a dealer for $6200.......MSRP 7800.......I was like, HUH? I called and they verified the price but emphasized it was NON GPS...anyway, I called a much closer and larger dealer and asked if they would match the price, first the guy simply laughed, took down my number and said he'd call me back after he talked to his sales manager, bout a half hour later he called me back and said I could have it for that price if I picked it up by noon, he seemed surprised at the discount, he said "thats cheaper then a Rubicon" or something like that. I got one they had just uncrated, so wasn't inventory just sitting around, production date was maybe a month old. Few months later even saw them going for $5900, LOL, the price of a Rancher.

I stick by my prediction in the other thread: disc brakes up front, and perhaps Trax-Loc. They may do some engine tweaking, but I doubt they'll do anything extreme.
