Hey you poor souls like us that have to deal with the winter cold and snow. My hubby bought a 400EX this year and I asked him the other day (when he was getting everything out of the barn that already froze), what he was going to do with his quad to prepare it for winter. They only thing he is going to do is is put some kind of gas in it. Is this all we need to do? Shouldn't he drain the gas and oil and pull out the battery like we do with everything else? Sure would like to know, wouldn't want him to have to pay for repairs to it in the spring!

00 400EX
And a new 250EX in January for me!

Yes, yes, yes, ride it in the snow, it's a blast.... If you must store it drain the gas , run the carburetor dry and put the battery in a warm place. Don't rely on fuel additives, to preserve your gas for the winter it's just better to run it dry.... it will start and run much better in the spring. As for the oil... just change it in the spring before you start riding again.

In the summer you ride, in the fall ride, winter ride, spring ride. If you follow these easy instructions your will never have to worry about the correct way to store your quad and above all HAVE FUN!!!!!!
