himy first time posting i recently purchased a 2006trx250ex and was wondering how fast can this quad go?and i have another question i get a wierd sqeaking noise when i let off the gas any idea what that is ? i have a k/n air filter how much horsepower am i gainging and will i gain any speed?

 

I just found out that air filters give no top speed. Maybe you got about 2-3 horses out of that
air filter. And the top speed of that honda is about 50 mph.

 

r u sure? ive heard some pipes have gotten that 4wheeler to 65 .im sure a pipe cant add 15mph but i might be wrong

 

ok there is always a big fight over this topic im guessing from what i heard so dont hold this against me but i would say 55 but i would search some old topics about 250ex top speed

 

those quads run about 50 stock,a pipe can get u to about 58 if you get a good full system.

 

how do you get 8 mph just by pipe n jetting

 

52-54 MPH no matter what pipe you put on , it's all in the gearing!

And if you wanted to change the gearing around a lot, I dont think there are sprockets for this
250. So a pipe is probably one of the best things for an ex right now.

 

i have an o3 rancher with a speedometer i raced my neighbors stock trx 250 (2003 model) i toppes out at 51 he was about 1-2 mph faster if thathe slowly pulled by me in fith gear but the pipe will give you more low end power the high end horsepower i just got an hmf pipe on mine i can now top out at 53mph not much difference but it did have a noticible accelaration increase through all gears
