1984 TRX200 Electrical
I picked it up today for $75 bucks for my wife to ride. It's complete minus the ignition (key) switch. What do I need to do to bypass to get it to start? It get no juice or spark.
Also, what is the rubber assembly near the light switch? It appears to be an ac or dc plug.
If these questions sound too simple it's because I ride and wrench on a CR500. No switches there. Thanks for any help!

I had to bypass the switch on one of my 84 trx 200 as I had two 200's go under water in Katrina. I had spark to the plug but the switch, neutral and reverse safety switches were bad so I bypassed all of them and just have a toggle switch to turn on power to the starter switch, not good if you have someone else using the bike or kids since it will start in gear and reverse. If you do not have spark you may have to try to find the CDI and other ignition parts to get it running. I see some on ebay at times.
I toke parts from both bikes to get the one working so I do not believe I have any parts that would help you.
Good luck!
