Default ::HELP!:: somthings wrong with my 250EX

recently i went out for just a little ride down to the feilds,
and on the way there i realised somthng wastn quite right
the quad was backfirering alot more than usual
and the throttle responce wasnt as it should be.
so i was going do the road and took a corner and when i got back on the throttle it backfired like crazy and it just died..
i tried starting it back up and it wouldnt..
but after many tries it finally fired over and i got it home barley before it died again and had to push it in the garage..

Any ideas on what this possibly could be?

( and it had about a half tank gas im not stupid :-P )

Try just simply changing your oil. And maybe a new oil filter or just clean it.

inside the carb there is a screw sometimes it will just come out i would take the carb out take apart where the float is and make sure it is in there that is what happened to me and the screw is holding the float shut so the engine is getting no gas try that and see
