There is a recall on ALL Ranchers. It took 20 minutes for the dealer to put on the brackets. Thats still less time it takes for a Polaris owner to grease up there quad.

I can say for absolute certian that there is a problem with the frames for the rubicons. Thankfully mine doesn't have a problem but my dealer showed me his paperwok on it today. I was having the machines first service and he mentioned that they had done the required inspection. There are incomplete welds on the upper right(?) arm brackets. They even have pictures of the bad welds. You guys might want to have em checked. Besides the scare of this weld thing my bike has been great. a little valve adjustment needed they said. but i'm still real happy.

I'm just curious about the Ranchers. I own one and want to know if anyone out there who ownes one had been contacted by their dealer in refernce to this problem? Mine sure hasn't contacted me. I wouldn't be surprised if the dealers aren't just fixing the ones that people bring in instead of contacting all the owners.

The first run of red Rubicons that hit the market back in July had a problem with a weld possibly missing. All dealers were instructed to halt sales until their stock could be checked and stamped. I can't imagine any of those machines are still on the salesfloor anywhere. This wasn't a problem on the green Rubis, since they were in the second run.

I have yet to see a Rubicon in the Belleville Ont. area. I have been informed that the 500 SPHO is selling for 8300 +tax no winch (Waynes World) or 8400 +tax with a winch (Morch Marine). I have a 1993 350L Polaris and love it but I want to try a Rubicon to see how it compares. Automatic transmission is the best for the riding and pulling I do. Ray

Ask your dealer what he wants for a Rubicon so we can tell if there all on drugs also, because I hear they may want between $9600 to $10000 in Canada.

Hey Ranchersmoke. Where did you get your Rancher? I got mine in Georgetown. I haven't heard anything from them on the recall. I did call them and they said that anyone affected would be contacted. I'm not sure I believe them, though. To be honest, I don't trust any of the Honda dealers around here. I'm not sure I would want them working on my quad. Too many horror stories....Let me know if you get yours fixed, and where. I'll let you know the same.

The Canadian dealer shouldn't have mixed up the Rancher and the Rubicon. Here in Canada the Rancher is sold as a TRX 350. The dealer I talked to said that they couldn't call it a Rancher because when translated into French, it means "two-faced". I haven't asked anyone that is bilingual if this is true, but that is what he told me. Only in Canada! Wierd, eh?
