I was wondering what exactly is involved in the first service. 150km. What is involved, what is checked, changed and looked at. Do I really need to take it to the dealer??

I hope you already changed your oil and filter early on, to get any metal shavings out of the engine/trans! Hondas come pretty clean from the factory, but it never hurts to be extra cautious.

On a new machine, I change oil and filter at <1hr, 5hrs, and 10 hrs. And, I change the oil in my differentials at <1 hr for the same reason. At about 20 hrs I adjust the valves. That's it.

Not sure if there is any service that needs to be done on that automatic transmission???

No way!! That never even crossed my mind. I never thought that there may be metal shavings in the engine from the factory. Good point. Just dropped the machine off this morning. I will get them to change all the fluids. I did ask them to check valve clearence. Thanks dude

It will be normal to find some shavings in the differentials. I didnt find any in my motor oil. If you continue to find alot of shavings, it should be brought in. I actually agree with reconranger on something! I also changed my diff after about an hour

All the Hondas and Suzukis I have owned, were very clean from the factory. The two Yamahas, were absolutely FILTHY! My Warrior had a pile of shavings about 1/4" high on the first oil change! The Blaster and Warrior were my first and second quad, so I learned early on to do an early oil/filter change.
