I am going riding in Utah in about two weeks and I need to rejet for higher altitude. We start out above 5000 feet. I went last year and one of the guys that I go riding with talked to a dealer and gave him a #152 jet(actually says 152.5 on the jet). I used the #152.5 jet last year and everything seemed fine but this year I was looking in the service manual and it said for anything above 6500 feet use a #158 jet.
The guy that talked to the dealer said that I have a #158 jet and need to go down two sizes to a #152 jet. But the service manual says #162 jet is the one I should be using now. So is the #152 jet the right size? Thanks

Ok higher alt, less air so you need less fuel, if it worked good last time with the 152.5 then that's what I would put in. Rember that it's just a main jet and you are only on that when at full throttle. Or you can all out to one of the dealers out there and see what they use.
