Honda Rancher 350 '05

Honda Rancher.
I have never owed a Honda before in my life, I have been a Polaris fan since day one.
My dad was looking into buying a quad and came upon a Honda Rancher "TRX" 350 ES... its an 05.
The guy whos selling it wants 3500 for it. Theres only 20 hours on it and the front frame, or rack has a pretty good "bend" if you will to it. Everything seems fine on it.. THe guys wife rode it and she wants to sell it and it seems to me and my dad that she rolled it, or her husband rolled it, and the wife says she doesnt want anyone to get hurt and is making him sell it.. So the question is, Is it a good deal? My dad doesnt really want to pay that much for it though.. What you guys think? Thanks!

That doesn't sound like a bad deal especially if its 4x4 and clean. Definately look up the value though. The rack being bent probably isn't a big deal unless it got the frame as well. I rolled my 2005 into a shallow creek at a VERY slow speed and it bent one of the mouting loops for the front rack nothing else was affected. Check around though I know up here in Northern Ohio some dealers are selling left over 2005 ES 4x4's for that price and they come with warranty. Just something to think about! Other than that they are great little machines. Don't expect to out the run the big boys though!

Obviously they crashed it, and that scared them off so that's why they are selling it. Ask them if they will be straight up with you about the crash, so you can access what the REAL damage is, if any. $3,500 would be a good price OTD for a low mileage 05 around here.
It's buyer beware as far as the ES is concerned. Lots of posts in here from folks having trouble with the system.
