Need Help choosing my first quad
#21
The Rincon is a fantastic trail machine. It loves to be pushed hard. Uneven off camber stuff will start to make you smile. As you can tell I love the handling of mine. As far as the Bomb? Its a very pricey 4 wheeler , but you also get what you pay for. >>>>>>>>>
I believe the Outlander 650 and Rincon 680 have about the same MSRP??

I was referring to the 800 Bomb. I don't know the MSRP of the 650. But the new 500 H.O bomb is said to be around $8000. So I would say the 650 would be more?? But my overal experience on the Bomb was great. I do however like the Rincon in ride and handling. The Bomb is unfrigging real. But I didn't care for the overall comfort. The Rincon is a very forgiving 4 wheeler that can make an average rider look like a pro.

Thanks for the responses...I really appreciate it.
I might be wrong here but as far as the Bomb is concerned, I see it as being more on the utility side with the extra power and torque. Power isn't my number 1 priority. My buddies that I'm gonna be riding with have 500s and say they've got more than enough juice with those machines. So, i think the Rincon should be more than adequate. Remember that I originally wanted to get me a sport and from all the reading I've done, it seems that the Rincon is probably the closest thing to a sport in terms of ride and feel. I've seen the Scrambler and Wolverine but I'm not sold on them. I feel that Rincon is the closest thing to what I'm looking for in a quad. I also have very limited experience ATVing and like someone said earlier, it's a forgiving quad. I'm probably going to head up this weekend to pick it up. Any other tidbits you can throw my way are welcome. Thanks again...

I got my older brother to jump onboard with me and he's going to get a Rinny for himself. The thing is, he's got a 13 yr old son(pretty big kid athletic as hell) and he's going to get him one too. Is a 90 EX a good choice for him? Will he out grow too fast? I'm a little hesitant to put him on a 250EX....he's real ballsy...
Maybe a Recon is the better way to go??

You won't regret getting a Rincon. It is a very sporty quad. The ride is great and it loves to be pushed. There are many 4 wheelers out there that do this and that better, but overall my opinion is the Rincon will win out in most catagories. The bombs handle well and have sic power, but they just don't have the sporty edge like the Rincon.

Hey DirtyBird,
Regarding your bother's son: I'd suggest the recon for him....less chance for him to get into trouble. Same powerplant as the 250ex, just weighs more and is a couple mph slower. The recon is a very stable platform, that was my first quad at age 28...I still like riding it. Oh yeah, your nephew will get less covered in mud if he's on the recon....better protection than the ex.
