Does anyone have a current phone number for Rocky Ridge? I can't seem to find anything on them, so I don't know if they went out of business or what. I know that they had a deal where they could gusset and powdercoat 250R frames pretty cheap and that is what I need. If anyone knows anything about them I would appreciate the help.

Raychalp,
I sent my 250r frame there about 2 years ago and it took them a year to get it back to me. I called every few weeks and they claimed they were working on it or that it was at the powdercoaters. I finally got it back a year later! So if you decide to send it make sure you consider this but they did do an excellent job with my frame. I don't have the number but look for the article that this website did on them under one of the older racing topics on the homepage.

I remember that article that they did on ATV Connection, but I can't find it anywhere on the site. I printed it when I first read it(a long time ago) and I lost it. There was a phone number in ATV Sport, but it says the number is disconnected. I know I can gusset the frame myself, and there is a local powdercoater but it would be nice to get it done all in one shot by the same guy.

A friend of mine sent his frame to rocky ridge about a year and a half ago. It cost him $175.00 for the gusseting and took 3 months to get done. I'll talk to him tomarrow and see if he knows if the still do frames and if he has the number.

Raychalp,

I know a good place to get your frame powdercoated. The place isn't very far from me, and from what I hear, they do great work.

My friend took his 250R frame over there to get it powdercoated about a week ago, and it will be done this Friday. The place is called "Universal Plating", and is located in Morganfield, KY. Dirt Wheels mentioned them in their new January 2001 issue. That is were the 330EX's frame was sent.

There is an ad in the back of the new Dirt Wheels issue on page 148. They also have a website that you can check out. It is: http://www.universalplating.com. Hope I helped.

I know about Universal Plating, and I have heard they do a good job. However, I live in Michigan and I don't want to pay to have it shipped just for powdercoating when I can get it done locally probably for about the same price if not cheaper because there is no shipping. The only reason I contemplated Rocky Ridge is because they do gusseting and powdercoating. Thanks for the info though, I appreciate the response.
